Man without Identity Found Dead Beside Jatinegara Railway

Residents in Cipinang Lontar Urban Village, Jatinegara Sub-District, East Jakarta, were shocked by the finding of a man’s dead body without identity beside the railway at around 7 AM, Wednesday (4/16).

There is no identity found in his pants pocket, and the locals also don’t recognize the victim. He was already dead when found beside the rail with severe injury on his head

Allegedly, the man was a homeless who got hit by train. This case is handled by Jatinegara Sector Police, while the victim’s body has been evacuated to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for autopsy.

According to Jatinegara Station Special Train Police officer, Ahmad Yusuf, the body was first discovered by the locals who then reported it to doorman crossing officer and followed up to Jatinegara Station authorities. When found, the victim’s condition was lying on the railway side with broken head.

There is no identity found in his pants pocket, and the locals also don’t recognize the victim. He was already dead when found beside the rail with severe injury on his head,” stated Yusuf.

As for which train that had hit the man, Yusuf does not know because train schedule in the morning is quite busy, whether from Jakarta to other areas as well as vice versa.

Meanwhile, Jatinegara Sector Police Crime Unit Chief AKP Dp Ambarita informed that based on crime scene investigation, his party does not find any trace of violence act. The victim’s broken head is strongly believed caused by hard impact with the train.

“From his wounds, the victim is allegedly hit by train. He suffered severe wounds on his head, right side of the nose, and forehead torn,” uttered Ambarita.

For information, the victim was around 30-35 years old, 165 centimeters high, wore grey long sleeve T-shirt and black training pants with white lines on the side.
